Requiem for a Dream (2000)

This movie is pointless and depressing we all know to be aware of drugs and we dont need any junkies or ex junkies on this comment box either to tell us how it all really works we honestly dont care about your life, so if anyone wants to not waste 140 mins or so of you life pass on this

To Jewls and the poster below her, you two are apparently ignorant. Do you two have any idea what you are talking about? Apparently not. I struggled with addiction to cocaine, ecstasy, and heroin. You never decide that you\\\'re going to be a drug addict. Something happens spontaneously and you try the drug. Then you can\\\'t get away. It really isn\\\'t as simple as you seem to think. However, this movie shows so much that so few ever see. This is a truly amazing film and I only wish more people could see it.

I\\\'ve always loved this movie--It was beautifully shot and directed and portrays the full truth of what it\\\'s like to be on the OTHER side of addiction. I\\\'ve never cried after watching a movie more than once, but everytime I see this it tears me up.\r\n\r\noh and in defense to the story in accordance to what was said previous--speaking from a former addict, once you\\\'ve gotten hooked- you cannot be held accountable for what goes on in your addiction. it\\\'s almost as if you\\\'re living outside your body- and someone else controls it.
